Description: Italy is a must-visit place on the travel itinerary of any tourist. This 10-day tour lets visitors enjoy all the sights and scenes of Italy in a relaxing and detailed manner. The tour covers almost all the major hotspots like Rome, Venice and Florence.

Day 1- We arrive at the Eternal City Rome. You can either relax after your journey or take a stroll through the city’s ancient streets. In the evening, join your companions and Travel Director for a Welcome Reception. Later on an orientation drive will be the perfect introduction to this beautiful city.

Day 2- During your sightseeing tour, your guide will fill you in on Rome’s heritage and culture. Visit Michelangelo’s frescoed ceiling in the Sistine Chapel and also the vast interior of St. Peter’s Basilica. Next, your tour will take you to ancient Rome. See the Forum and Circus Maximus, where chariot races were held and also pay a visit to the enormous Colosseum.

Day 3- The day is entirely at your disposal for you to explore the city on your own. You can either plan a trip to the ancient Catacombs or travel to Tivoli to view the house and gardens of the Villa d’Este, a beautiful example of Renaissance architecture. In the evening, you can try making a wish at the Trevi fountain.

Day 4-On day 4, we board the high-speed Frecciargento train for a comfortable journey through the scenic Italian countryside to reach Florence, the birthplace of the Renaissance. The local sightseeing tour will introduce you to city highlights like the Ponte Vecchio. Do drop by at the Fine Arts Academy to view one of the most famous works of the Renaissance – Michelangelo’s Statue of David. The tour ends with a visit to Piazza Signoria, which houses beautiful sculptures and palazzi.

Day 5-Next day, enjoy the view of Florence from Piazzale Michelangelo. Later we travel along the Arno Valley to Pisa, a former maritime city. The city sights include the world-famous Leaning Tower, the Square of Miracles and the marble Cathedral. You must also visit the largest Baptistery in Italy and the cemetery, reportedly built on soil brought from the Holy Land. Later join your travel mates for a special Highlight Lunch at a local restaurant. In the evening we head back to Florence.

Day 6- Make use of your free day to explore this historic and picturesque city on your own. In addition to museums and galleries, there are beautiful gardens and palaces to discover, like the Boboli and the Pitti Palace. Make a visit to the village outside the city to purchase local specialties. In the evening, consider travelling to Chianti for dinner!

Day 7- We then board the express train from Florence to Venice. Be enamored by Italy’s scenic beauty as we cross the Apennine hills and Veneto plains. It takes just over two hours to reach Venice, its ornate Gothic and Renaissance palaces beautifully reflected in the Venetian lagoon. In the evening, do take a ride in the Gondola- the perfect way to get introduced to this beautiful city.

Day 8 – Enjoy the sights and sounds of this unique Byzantine city while cruising to St. Mark’s Square on a private launch. As part of your orientation tour, visit the Bridge of Sighs, Palladian Churches, the Customs House, Grand Canal, St. Mark’s Basilica, Campanile as well as the Doge’s Palace. Visit any of the island’s glass blowing workshops located on St. Mark’s Square for a demonstration of this ancient craft. The rest of the day is free for you to explore the city on your own. You can perhaps visit the Accademia or relax and experience ‘la dolce vita’ at a pavement cafe.

Day 9- As part of the walking city tour, we cross the Rialto Bridge and visit the ancient fish market. Wander through the narrow streets and visit Marco Polo’s house and other interesting works of art. In the evening, join your travel mates for a Farewell Dinner.

Day 10- Say ‘arrivederci’ to your travel mates and proceed to your next journey.
